Former Asante Kotoko forward, Kwame Poku claims the intensity of the Ghana Premier League is far better the Algerian league in an interview on RISE FM with Aisha Anyem.
The prolific forward joined the Algerian Giant US Alger in 2021 from Asante Kotoko in a deal reported to be around US$300,000 in a four-and-a-half-year contract.
“Algerian league and the Ghana Premier League are all the same but the hype in the Algerian League is slightly different from the Ghana League because of their African Performances”. He said
The 21-year-old forward added that “the intensity in the Ghana premier league is difficult than the Algerian League because it is not easy to pick wins at certain Venues in the Ghana Premier League as compared to the Algerian League.
Kwame Poku has managed to score 5 goals and 4 assist in 17 appearances for the Algerian Giant US Alger.
