Management of Accra Hearts Of Oak have reopened contract negotiations with Midfielder Benjamin Afutu who is out of contract for the season.

The club opened contract negotiations with Benjamin back in August but the playmaker consistently gave excuses to the management of the availability of his agent. Management scheduled a meeting between the player and his agent but proved futile as both didn’t show up of the meeting.

Benjamin Afutu has now accepted to accelerate contract talks and has provided some conditions to the club’s management.

1. He will sign for only one season or for just a season

2. He wants to be paid Ghc 5,000 per month/ Ghc 60,000 for the end of year contract extension.

Management has Accra Hearts Of Oak has made it clear to Benjamin Afutu that they will not agree to the one year contract extension but will only subject to the players conditions if he agrees a three-year contract extension or more.

Hearts Of Oak have a transfer policy of not signing a new player or renewing player contract of not less than three-years.
