The former Ghanaian international football player and Accra Hearts of Oak manager, Mohammed Almed Polo says former black stars coach C.K Ackonor not having certain key players contributed to his downfall.

The former Asante Kotoko manager C.K Ackonor was sacked by the Ghana football association following the poor performance by the black stars squad.

According to the Dribbling magician, CK Ackonor down fall was cursed by not having certain key players such as the Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey and Ajax talisman Kudus Mohammed but the current black stars coach Milovan Rejevac is enjoying the services of all these players.

” C.K didn’t cease to function as a black star’s coach but if he had gotten the services of certain key players, he would have been more successful”
“Milovan Rejevac got the services of both Thomas Partey and Kudus Mohamed which contributed to his two wins against the warriors of Zimbabwe”. He said in an interview on Nyansapo Friday sport with host Kwabena Aboagy.

The Arsenal midfielder missed the black stars game against Ethiopian due to injury but was available in the games against Zimbabwe in the world Cup qualifiers.

The black stars will be playing Ethiopia on 11th November 2021 before they will battle it out with South Africa in the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

South Africans are leading Group G with 10 points followed by Black stars with 9 points after playing four games.
