Asante Kotoko coach and captain banned and fined by GFA DC

Asnate Kotoko’s captain, Emmanuel Gyamfi and Coach Mariano Barreto has been banned and fined by the Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary committee for misconducts.

The DC after the findings, fined Asante Kotoko’s captain, Emmanuel Gyamfi GH¢1000 for stamping on Inter Allies Player, Andy Okpe’s foot during their game at Dawu. Emmanuel Gyamfi was also handed a one match ban.

Coach Mariano Bareto was also fined GH¢ 3000 plus 2-match ban for his statement he made against referees after their game against Legon Cities.

Asante Kotoko after receiving the verdict posted on their official social media handle stating,

“We’ve just been informed by the GFA, as we prepare for today’s #KotokoDeportivo, that winger Emmanuel Gyamfi has been handed a match ban and Ghc1000 fine while Coach Mariano Barreto is also banned for two games with a GHc3000 fine.”
